We toured around the Lake Argentino on the way to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. We took a cruise boat to get close to the wall of Perito Moreno Glacier on the south side. This is one of the few living glaciers. We were able to witness the ice block falling off from the glacier into water forming iceberg. The ice covering the mountain all the way to the top. There is a park for us to wondering around and to view the whole glacier’s south wall, north wall, and everything in between. We had a marvelous view of the giant glacier.
We had some free time in the afternoon for shopping. Even in a small town like El Catafate, we were able to do our share of contribution to the local economic and the results were quite impressive.
